Opening Hours
Tuesday to Sunday:
from 10 AM to 6 PM
The main castle, the outer bailey and the museum shop are closed on Mondays. However, if a Monday is a public holiday, the general opening times apply.
According to the current health protection regulations, medical facemasks must be worn on the entire premises as of bridge to the outer bailey, and the commonly known rules of hygiene and physical distancing must be observed.
Within the current regulations, extra-curricular cultural education programmes are again possible at Burg Vischering on Mondays and may be booked accordingly.

Fee for a one-hour guided group tour in Dutch, English, French or Russian: € 45.00 (in addition to the admission fee).
Fee for a 90-minute guided tour, including the outside area and the chapel: € 67.50 (in addition to the admission fee).

A sloped path suitable for wheelchair users leads directly from the main road into the outer bailey. From there it branches out into the direction of the café and ticketing area and towards the main castle bridge. Please obtain a ticket for wheelchair users, as this will automatically open the swinging doors at the bridge barrier.
In the inner courtyard of the main castle, the route continues up to an automatic door opening towards the outside by motion sensor. All levels are easily accessible by elevator. Almost all doors in the castle have a minimum width of 90 cm. Most intermediate stairs within the storeys can be overcome by electric wheelchair ramps. Short detours are necessary in only a few places. Our modern media stations have wheelchair-adapted heights.
Spacious sanitary facilities are located in the basement level.

The County of Coesfeld sponsors county school classes travelling to Burg Vischering by train and bus.

The privately run Café Reitstall is located in the outer bailey of Vischering Castle. It welcomes visitors and guests during the opening hours of the museum.
