About two and a half years have gone by since the release of the debut album “A Short Moment Of Zero G”, and since then the German-French-British trio has been celebrated by the media as well as the general public. The CD received a Jazz-ECHO award and the annual prize of the German Record Critics’ Prize. Among other things, the jury wrote in its assessment: “A touch of cool swing, the joy of pointillist sound patches and unexpected twists pervade the eleven pieces. This “velvety revolution” creates what the title of the album promises: short moments of zero gravity.” With their new album Velvet Revolution consistently continue on this path. With Daniel Erdmann’s sensitive, colourful, sometimes quick-tempered tenor sax performance and Théo Ceccaldi’s splendid, energetic brilliance on the violin, but also Jim Hart’s virtuosity at the vibraphone, they are living up to their band name, Velvet Revolution – ultimate concert enjoyment.
